The Forensic Science Awareness week is required to be celebrated every year. As part of the celebrations, the CFSLs, EsQD and State FSLs organized various programmes such as opening of exhibition on forensic topics, allowing the students of nformation on the excellent service, that the forensic Science Laboratories are rendering to the Justice Delivery System, ublishing popular articles in newspapers and delivering talks in different media on forensic importance (Radio & TV).

Sub: Celebrations of Third Foundation Day of the Directorate of Forensic Science of MHA on December 29, 2005 and awarding NABL accreditation certificates to DFS Laboratories.

 

The Directorate of Forensic Science was created by Govt. of India under MHA through a gazette notification on 31.12.2002. Keeping this in view, the DFS has been celebrating its Foundation Day on December 31 every year.

Since December 31, 2005 is a holiday being Saturday, the Directorate of Forensic Science is celebrating the 3 rd Foundation Day on December 29, 2005 at 5.00 p.m. in Room No. 103, North Block, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi . Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Sh. Shiv Raj Patil Ji has very kindly consented to be the Chief Guest of this important function. Hon’ble Union Home Minister would also be conferring the NABL Accreditation Certificates to the DFS Laboratories ( i.e. CFSL Hyderabad and Chandigarh & the three Govt. Examiners of Questioned Document Laboratories located at Kolkata, Shimla & Hyderabad).
